About Me
Taking charge of your mental health is never simple. Life can be busy and chaotic, which means our own self-care often takes a back seat to the more pressing issues facing you each day. You start to lose motivation to make changes because you’re struggling just to keep going; but it doesn’t have to be that way.
Hi, my name is Vincent Pascoe, Founder and Creator of Elevate. I am far from perfect. I’m not a guru, but I do have a sincere passion for making a difference. When Covid-19 struck in 2020, the world was transformed and became almost unrecognizable. From lockdowns to social distancing, there was a major shift in how we approached life. For me, the uncertainty of everything around me amplified my battle with depression and anxiety.
After being ghosted for contracting Covid, having loved ones pass away, and being laid off from my job, I knew I needed to be proactive about my mental health before it got worse. After being frustrated with my self-improvement efforts in the past, I knew this time needed to be different. What I was craving was a system that kept me motivated and was simple to follow. Like many of us do as adults, I have struggled with stress and self-doubt. So, I was surprised that I went back to my childhood to find the solution.
Growing up I was always revising the board and card games my family played together. I would create more complex story lines with different rules. As someone who uses both left and right sides of my brain, I was able to use creative and logical thinking to build systems and rules around new ideas. To handle my own complex issues, I needed something simple. After self-reflection and a lot of research I was overwhelmed with the amount of work ahead of me. The random and simplistic approach of drawing a card made it easier to stop overthinking and just one step a day; Elevate was formed.
The game itself is pretty straightforward, but the effects are life-changing. First, do an Emotional Assessment of how you’re really feeling in that moment. Next, draw a card from the stack that matches your current mindset. Perform whatever the Affirmation or Action is for that day. Then, reflect on what you’ve learned and start making those part of your daily routine for continued growth!
Elevate has made such a significant impact in my own life, helping me address my struggles daily with newfound hope. I want to share this inspiring feeling with others who may be facing battles, too. Being an empathetic problem-solver by nature, I am honored to offer this game that could make someone else’s life easier.
If you’re tired of feeling defeated every day, and want a simple way to start rejuvenating your mental health, give Elevate a try.
